Note: This training has a prerequisite the 6-Hour Conflict Management Skills Workshop.
This is a 2-Day interactive workshop designed to provide participants the knowledge and skills necessary to be impartial mediators who can assist disputing parties to air their concerns, deal with emotions, and find mutually agreeable solutions.
It is at the heart of the learning process of this training, hands-on experience through role play and simulations. Each group will receive individualized coaching during role plays from an experienced mediator.
What is Mediation?
Mediation is a safe, voluntary, confidential process guided by impartial mediators. During mediation, disputing parties can talk about their concerns, listen to each other, and develop solutions that work for both parties. The mediation process empowers parties by allowing them to actively participate, taking full responsibility for resolving their concerns.
The mediator assists and facilitates effective communication between disputants, promotes understanding, and protects the mediation process.
